As Shayne Lamas and Matt Grant broke things off, the battle has started to heat up. The now again Bachelor Matt Grant is fighting with Shayne over the ring he gave her when he proposed on the season finale of The Bachelor.
Lamas, told People she planned to keep the 2.85-carat Tacori platinum-and-diamond eternity ring “safe and clean and in a glass box — like a glass slipper.” She claimed Grant agreed “He wants to come over and look at it.”
But Matt on the other hand said the conversation never took place. He told People,
“We never discussed this,” he says. “I never said it was cool to just keep it. If she said we spoke about it, she just made it up. Sometimes she thinks she can say anything and I’ll go along with it.”
"You keep the ring! No, you keep the ring! No, you keep the ring!" Time out everybody! Nobody should keep the ring! I mean after all it technically belongs to ABC. The idea here is the show is called The Bachelor and that means he picks a girl to marry him and if the marriage does not happen then the show was a waste of everyone's time and no "prize" should come of it and thus it get returned to ABC where they can use it on the next season.
Wasn't this same ring on the first season of The Bachelor? Oh you didn't know that's what they do? As soon as the show ends the producer comes out and says, "Nice show everybody! OK, I'll take the ring back. Thank you."
