Here we go again. Class in session. It's lesson time.
This coming from Live Science.
It involves smell.
Women seek a man with a smell that is opposite theirs. According to a study at the University of Liverpool published in the Proceedings of the Royal Society B: Biological Sciences says that taking the pill could throw off this natural ability of women to sniff out men. One consequence could be that women are more attracted to men it is harder to conceive with if they want kids. Not so fair for all you daddy want-to-bes. A man's sent give clues to his type of gene and ability to fight disease. Of course cologne and after-shave can play a roll in throwing it all off as well.
This process is called Called the Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC), different MHC molecules fight different diseases, so it is important to have a mix of MHC types.
Even though humans have a relatively poor sense of smell compared with other creatures, women tend to identify partners with suitable MHC molecules.
What this all means for women:
1. If you take contraception, and you decide to have a baby, the baby may not be able to fight off disease as best you hoped.
2. While contraception is a wonder drug- their is another down side to add to the list besides the usual suspects of it making you fat, crazy, and without question bitchy let alone your now going to procreate with the wrong guy!
You could just tell him to stop using that bottle of Stetson his pops gave him for his 28th Birthday.
For character and confidence and happiness of heart.
