Today Dempsey has launched the official site for his Dempsey Challenge: A Journey For Hope. The challenge will feature four bicycle routes, including a 100-mile course, a five-kilometer walk/run, and a Kid's Fun Run. Besides Dempsey participating in his hometown event, five-time Olympian George Hincapie has signed on. We hear rumors that even Lance Armstrong received an invite from the Gray's Anatomy star.
Dempsey visited his Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine in December to announce the event that will take place on October 4th, 2009. All money raised from the event will go to his center.
