TAMAR KAPRELIAN'S DEBUT ALBUM, SINNER OR A SAINT (INTERSCOPE RECORDS) AVAILABLE ON ITUNES AUGUST 24TH.
Tamar Kaprelian, a happy go lucky musician who has big dreams on her mind and why shouldn't she. The talented twenty-two year old singer-songwriter bested thousands of individuals, winning One Republic's "Apologize" Cover Contest in 2008. Happening upon the contest was a simple twist of fate, as Kaprelian, from a recommendation of her producer, had already recorded Apologize before she knew of the contest. Having been a fan of Ryan Tedder, the lead singer of One Republic, recording a cover on-line was certainly a way to get noticed. Since winning, the piano playing singer has gone on to sign with Interscope Records where her debut album Sinner or a Saint is due to drop August 24th. The album as described on her web site as, "you can expect to hear thought-provoking, hopeful, playful, and honest songs".
Her song, New Day, off the debut album found it's way onto the season finale of The Hills, and TV promos for the new hit ABC Family show, Huge. This is just the beginning for Kaprelian who will be back on tour this fall and ready to steal the ears of North America just like she did with One Republic.
I had the pleasure of meeting Kaprelian after her show in Boston recently in which she took to each fans request with a smile on her face posing for photos and signing autographs. She made each fan feel special, just like her music. For those lucky fans who have discovered her already, they are the few who will be part of the very many soon.
She is as impressive as her voice, genuine as her looks, and as passionate as her personality. This is an exciting time for Kaprelian because tomorrow is a "new day" and another day to spread her charmful music.
