AMORE: Describe your character on the show?
ALEXANDER: Joffre is the youngest son and is used as a political pawn for the family. He just wants to please his father.
AMORE: How did the role come about for you? Did you audition? Was it Neil Jordan (show creator) that picked you to play Joffre?
ALEXANDER: I auditioned several times and had screen tests. Neil Jordan then cast me. His writing and direction are amazing and inspiring.
AMORE: Have you gone online to find out what happened to your character in history?
ALEXANDER: I researched from several books, but only as a general guide as I wanted to go with the storyline. Once I read the scripts, I understood the importance of this character in the series.
AMORE: Where is the series shot? What’s it like?
ALEXANDER: It has been well documented; The series is shot in Budapest, Hungary. In the studios and on location. The studios are amazing. St.Peters inside and outside was built there. The attention to detail was fantastic. That and the fantastic costumes made me feel like I was in 15 century Rome!
AMORE: Has the series got you interested in history?
ALEXANDER: Yes, I always was very interested in history and this just made me love it even more and I am taking GCSE history.
AMORE: What’s it like to play the son of Jeremy Irons character?
ALEXANDER: Couldn't think of a better and more inspiring actor to play my father!
AMORE: Who is your celebrity crush and why?
ALEXANDER: I like the girls in 'Friends' for all different reasons!
AMORE: Do you stay in contact with your fellow actors from the show?
ALEXANDER: I speak to David (Oakes) regularly and have been to see him in a play and have spoken and kept in contact with some of the other lovely cast too.
AMORE: Have you been to the U.S. to witness the success of the show here in the states?
ALEXANDER: No but I would love to!
AMORE: What are some of your hobbies that you like when not in production filming?
ALEXANDER: I play guitar (classical and electric) , sail in the harbour where I live ( I have a topper) and enjoy my youth theatre group.
AMORE: Any other projects you're currently working on?
ALEXANDER: Not at present, as had school option type exams during the winter/spring.
AMORE: What would be your dream role in a TV show or film and who would be your ideal co-star?
ALEXANDER: Dream role would be an action film with co-star, Johnny Depp as he takes various challenging roles.
AMORE: Do you plan on ever coming to the U.S. to act here in television/films? We know a lot of British actors make the jump.
ALEXANDER: Would love to! Offers please! I would also like to thank The Borgias Fan Page for all their support!
