Could Channing Tatum go from stripping to becoming a daredevil?

The Hollywood Reporter has posted on their website that Channing is being considered to play Evel Knievel in a film based on the infamous 1970s stuntman

The film would be based on the Stuart Barker book Life of Evel.

Would Channing play a good daredevil?

In-case you didn't know Channing Tatum used to be a male stripper before he made it big in Hollywood.

What you might not know is that his new film, Magic Mike about a male stripper is a rip-off story from some of his former co-workers.

So why is he getting the heat for this, well because he's also a producer on the film.

But TMZ spoke to Thomas "Awesome" Austin and London Steele -- both guys worked with Tatum back in his FL stripper days -- who say the film is based more off their lives than his ... even down to the title -- "Magic Mike" -- which is a name Austin says he coined for another dance.

They claim they took Tatum under their wings when he was a nobody and taught him all their special stripper-moves like "The Hot Seat" -- which is featured in the film and Austin says he invented it.

Could this be a complete back-stab on Channing's part or just former friends who want to cash in?
