UPDATE: Never mind that Lea Michele story from Wednesday. Apparently it was a big misunderstanding. Glee star Lea Michele did not snub 14-year-old True Grit actress Hailee Steinfeld on the Paramount lot. Hailee was rather snubbed by a production assistant.

Steinfeld says in the J-14 interview, “So I walked up to her and asked for her autograph, but she walked by and a guy came and said, ‘Sorry, now’s not a good time!’”

Though it wasn’t her fault, the “Glee” star does feel bad about the incident.

Michele tells Gossip Cop exclusively: “I heard Hailee was upset and feel terrible. The ‘Glee’ schedule is so jam-packed that the PA probably pulled me so that I wouldn’t be late to set. I never meant to hurt her feelings.  She’s an extraordinary talent and I look forward to meeting her one day.”

Nothing is worse for a fan of a celeb than when said celeb snubs such fan, but what about when a celeb snubs another celeb? Hailee Steinfeld the True Grit actress told J-14 magazine in an interview that Glee actress Lea Michele wouldn't give her an autograph on the Paramount lot where eachothers shows are shot.

"When I was auditioning for 'True Grit,' I was on the Paramount lot," the 14-year-old said in a recent interview with J-14 magazine. "I was wearing clothes from the 1800s that were big and uncomfortable. 'Glee' also films on the lot and I love the show.

"I saw Lea Michele just walking to her trailer and I was like, 'That's the girl from 'Glee.' I've got to go ask for her autograph!' So I walked up to her and asked for her autograph, but she walked by and a guy came and said, "Sorry, now's not a good time!" Hailee continued.

"I had to walk all the way back to the car wearing what I was wearing. I was practically crying on the way home. I was so sad!" she told the mag. "But she's beautiful and she has an amazing voice."

Ouch! Really Lea? How rude!
