Kate Hudson admits in an interview with Elle UK in which she covers the magazine's May issue that her second pregnancy was a surprise and that she does plan on getting married.

Kate became pregnant for a second time just eight weeks after giving birth to son Bingham with her fiance Matt Bellamy.

“[It] was all very old-fashioned and proper and we went on lovely dates, and two months later I was pregnant… Well, yes [I was shocked], but I also thought: ‘This is going to be interesting.’”

“I knew it would take a strong man to deal with it. You know that with a relationship things can go either way when you have a child,” says the movie star. “When you get pregnant everything changes; you, your body. Everything becomes a big decision.”

And on tying the knot?

“We will get married, I do think it’s important but we have no plans. [Older son Ryder] wants a party. For me it’s not the legal part that is important, it’s what it means to the family.”

Inside the mag the actress releases lots of details about her life including being a public figure she says,

“The reason I trust so much is that I don’t feel like I have anything to hide. If somebody betrays that trust, it could never be so bad, because I don’t keep any secrets.”

“I’ve had friends who’ve lied to me, I’ve had friends who’ve done things behind my back, I’ve had people steal from me — and it doesn’t stop me from trusting."

And on having two parents that are famous in Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn?

“There’s a misconception that if you come from famous parents, you’re seeking fame for the sake of fame,” explains Hudson. “I see it as the opposite: Growing up with parents who were in the spotlight — it was almost like, Wow, if I didn’t love to create characters, I would run as far away from fame as I could get.”

And on her new character on Glee playing a dance instructor:

“...such a wonderfully nasty character. I have so much fun playing her. And singing and dancing makes me so happy.”
