Bing.com, Microsoft’s decision engine, has just released the results of a survey they commissioned regarding the most desirable things for New Year's Eve and the New Year.
 
Which celebrity would you invite to your New Year’s Eve dinner?

-She became a mom, won an Oscar and was named People’s Most Intriguing Newsmaker of the Year all in 2010. So it should come as no surprise that according to a Bing survey 48 percent of respondents want the beautiful and talented Sandra Bullock to join them for dinner.

-Though Kim Kardashian was the most searched for person on Bing in 2010, she’s not as popular as a dinner guest. According to a Bing survey, only 8 percent of respondents would welcome Kim to their New Year’s Eve dinner.

-It seems women are 2.5 times more likely to want to have dinner with Sandra than Obama. A Bing survey showed that 56 percent of women respondents want to invite Sandra Bullock as a dinner guest and only 22 percent would invite President Barack Obama.

Which celebrity couple would you NOT trust to babysit your kids (or your nieces, nephews or best friend’s kids) on New Year’s Eve?

- According to respondents to Bing’s New Year’s Eve Survey, Americans wouldn’t trust Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick to babysit their kids. 41 percent of respondents to a Bing survey said that they wouldn’t let this celebrity couple babysit their kids on New Year’s Eve. Sarah and Todd Palin came in just behind Kourtney and Scott, with 25 percent of respondents not wanting them to babysit.

 Which celebrity would you like to become Facebook or Twitter friends with in 2011?

-Though Justin Bieber ranked number two as most searched musician this year, only five percent of respondents to a Bing survey would like to become Facebook or Twitter friends with him 2011. Ellen DeGeneres and Oprah Winfrey battle out as most wanted FB and Twitter friends, with 30 percent wanting Ellen and 25 percent wanting Oprah.

-Fans might not be friends: Though Kim Kardashian has 50x more Bing search queries than Ellen DeGeneres, respondents to a recent Bing survey preferred Ellen when deciding which celebrity they would like to be Facebook or Twitter friends with. Ellen had 3x more aspiring friends than Kim.

Which celebrity would you like to kiss at midnight?

-The 2010 sexiest man alive and soon to be single Ryan Reynolds continues to grab hearts in America. 51 percent of women responders to a Bing survey want him to be their midnight kiss. He beat out Matthew Morrison, Chase Crawford and Mike “The Situation Sorrentino.”

 What is the most popular New Year’s Eve show?

-When it comes to rockin’ New Year’s Eve, Dick Clark still tops the list of most popular shows, according to Bing search data pulled from last year’s holiday season. In fact, Dick Clarke + Ryan Seacrest is 25 times more popular than Anderson Cooper, while Carson Daly’s New Year’s Eve special didn’t even make the top 10,000 search topics.

-Last year, Dick Clarke’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest generated nearly 10% of all New Year’s Eve-related inquiries, compared with Anderson Cooper’s 360 New Year’s show, which generated 4 queries for every 100 of those for Dick Clark’s show.
