Bing hosted an Art Basel party to celebrate actress Shenae Grimes’ photo exhibit “Travelers."
The event marked the first time the 90210 star shared and sold her photos, which feature Venice Beach street performers she grew close with during her time filming as a homeless teen in the 2010 film “Sugar.” To raise awareness of the homeless issues in America, proceeds from the night benefited My Friends Place, a shelter in Hollywood Shenae volunteered and filmed at for “Sugar.” The event was a huge success as all 12 of her original photos were sold, raising $3,750 for the shelter.
Grimes’ “90210” co-star Jessica Stroup was on hand to support her close friend, as was emerging hip hop artist Theophilus London who performed and DJed for the intimate crowd. The two young starlets danced the night away in celebration of the night’s success, especially when London played Grimes’ favorite song “Nig**s in Paris” by Jay-Z and Kanye West.
