On Sunday, October 4th Grey's Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey took to the roads of Maine for the Dempsey Challenge. Dempsey, a Maine native founded the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine (also the hospital where he was born.) The center was founded in honor of his mother (pictured above) who is a cancer survivor. Along with Patrick participating in the event was George Hincapie known as a key domestique of Lance Armstrong, having been the only rider to assist Armstrong in all seven of his Tour de France victories.
