As I always say, Hollywood is like a high school. It is enormously small and everyone wants to be on the Prom Court. Once you become someone of status you have to always look over your shoulder to protect potential film and television, commercial, and red carpet opportunities. This is especially the case when you have carved out your own niche. Jennifer Garner owns motherhood. Angelina Jolie is the vixen. Jennifer Aniston is America's sad single and motherless sweetheart. Jennifer Lopez and Eva Longoria, however, both fight for all things Latin. But undoubtedly Jennifer Lopez sees herself in another league. But even if Jenny from the Block is a little higher in the Hollywood chain, they share many of the same traits and could invariably be interchanged. I mean, if you believe Jennifer Lopez should be judging a singing contest you could believe Eva Longoria should be judging a modeling contest. It's all the same really.
This week Life & Style claims that following his split with Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony has reached out to Eva Longoria for comfort. “In a long, tearful, anguished conversation,” Anthony told Longoria “about his heartache, his pain, his disappointment.” Life & Style explains that “there’s a history of bad blood between Jennifer and Eva,” and that’s why “Marc’s calls to Eva behind Jennifer’s back — telling her all the deepest, darkest secrets about his marriage to the ‘American Idol’ judge — are the ultimate betrayal.”
Apparently in 2008 Eva was photographed sitting on Marc’s lap at a party in Las Vegas, mere months after Jenny gave birth to twins. “Jennifer hates Eva,” a source claims.
So what do you do when your soon-to-be ex-husband is calling your nemesis and providing him with secrets from your marriage crypt? You need to rally the troops and come up with a game plan. You need to launch a recess plan. Make sure the cool kids disallow her from sitting at their table. Then have your publicist make sure she doesn't get invitations to any weekend parties. Lastly, make sure the world knows that you are going to be Prom Queen this year and then do everything in your power to make it happen.
