Heather Morris covers the June 2011 issue of Women's Health. The actress who plays a cheerleader on Glee talks about the show and staying in shape for her role.
On the Britney Spears episode of Glee:
"I wanted to be fierce," says Heather. "I was like a monster, training my ass off," she says.
That she did, if you recall she has her Esquire photoshoot to prove that.
Did you know that Heather was a back up dancer for Beyonce and was brought in to teach the cast of Glee the Singles Ladies dance. It was that, that got her a small part on the show before becoming one of the show's hottest characters.
"Between takes, Heather would do these hysterical impersonations," recalls Zach Woodlee, Glee coproducer and choreographer. "The writers began to latch on to her, and that's how [Brittany] came to be a speaking part."
"I want to make everybody laugh," Heather explains between sips of apple juice. "I'm exactly like Brittany--I love to dance, I like to have fun. I'd rather have innocence than be serious all the time."
The June 2011 issue of Women's Health hits newsstands May 24th, the same day as Glee season 2 finale!
